Eating watermelon is more healthy than you can ever imagine! It's summertime and it's watermelon time! And in Baghdad where I grew up absolutely everyone could afford a huge watermelon a day. During the long summer months the one man little shops were packed floor to ceiling with watermelons of all shapes and sizes, and the Arab shopkeeper in his long gown dishdasha and irghal to cover his head, the traditional headgear for Arab men, is busy selling the national popular summer fruit. There was a ritual and this is how it went.
