The food pyramid is a tool that is useful for people who are trying to maintain a healthy diet. This idea of the food pyramid is to have a breakdown of all food groups. There are five main groups that will include a variety of different foods. These groups will include fruits, vegetables, grains, dairy, and protein. If there is a different type of pyramid being used, then there might be various other types of foods, such as fats, oils and sweets.
