When visiting a fast food restaurant do you select a yogurt parfait and salad because you believe they are healthier than a hamburger and French fries? Or, do you select a fish sandwich for the same reason? While you may buy into the hype that these options are better for you than the other menu items, the fact is that this is not always the case. There are a number of fast food restaurants that have introduced a number of menu items that seem to be fast food healthy options. This was mainly in response to the nationwide issue of obesity. What has really prompted a number of these menu changes is not healthier options, but just more options in general. Customers want the additional choices and fast food restaurants have worked to meet this demand.
